Excited little me
"Yesterday I bought a camera! Finally!
I havent had much time to play with my new camera yet, but heres a couple pictures from me messing around with the camera at the piano. Kinda cool.. in a strange sorta way
On an equally exciting side note, Jeffrey Campbell. I currently have a love/hate relationship with Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Just as I am trying to choose which color Lita to order, having almost made a decision, I receive an email from solestruck.com regarding new styles from none other than Jeffrey Campbell. How wonderfully frustrating. Which brings me to my current dilema - Lita vs Lana. Typically I could write an entire blog post on each one of these shoes (and perhaps I will), they are really nothing short of astonishing.
So, back on track.. Lita vs Lana. Lets take a look:
These booties are probably my favourite piece of footwear out right now. Im not kidding, they are that sweet. Ive been looking for chunky platforms for a while, and these boots have every feature I was looking for. They are quite versatile, being an ankle boot, and with the grey color they wont be too over powering for spring or summertime. Since it is cold until about May/June in Toronto, I wanted to get a closed toe boot or shoe that could still be worn in spring and summer, and with these I feel as though I can wear them in colder weather with leggings and a skirt or dress, as well as in spring or summer when it warms up.
The thing I love about the Lana is the curved heel. Which is almost polar opposite to the reason that I adore the Lita. I feel that the Lana is over the top, yet understated at the same time (as under stated as you can be in a 5" heel.. perhaps). Where the Lita looks quite tough and military, the Lana has a much softer look. The open heel and softer shape to the toe gives it a more feminine and slightly whimsical look than the Lita, which would make it perfect for very feminine, more flowing dresses or skirts in the spring/summer time. These shoes seem like they would be a dream to wear with a flowery print maxi or layered neutrals, where the Lita and its edgier look would be perfect for oversized tshirts, skinny jeans, black tulle dresses and an overall 70s rock-n-roll appeal.
I am a sucker for shoes, especially Jeffrey Campbell shoes. With these two styles available right now, and me needing a cool spring shoe - it looks like ill have a really tough decision to make!"
